Editorial Policy: How We Review Rust Skin Sites
Every review and guide on OilRigLoot follows the same process, whatever the commission.
What we test
| Area | What we check |
|---|---|
| Sign-up | How long it takes, what's asked, Steam and Discord linking |
| Bonuses | What the free cases contain, real odds, wagering and KYC rules |
| Deposits | Methods, minimums, fees, how fast funds land |
| Withdrawals | Methods, fees, playthrough, how long it actually took |
| Fairness | Published house edge, provably fair docs, whether results can be verified |
| Safety | Licensing, owner details, KYC, complaints and how support responds |
| Restrictions | Age rules, US states and countries excluded |
Sources we trust
Our first source is the site itself: its terms of service, fairness page, affiliate page and in-site odds tables. Our second source is our own testing. Third-party sources (Trustpilot, Reddit, other review sites) are used for patterns of complaints and are always labelled.
Numbers and examples
Where we show example balances or bets, they are made-up examples to explain the maths, and we label them that way. Real odds and fees are quoted from the source with the month we checked them.
Updates
Key pages are re-checked at least monthly. If RustClash changes a bonus, fee or restriction, we update the page and the "fact-checked" date.
Money and independence
Affiliate commissions keep the site running. They never buy a better score. We say plainly when something is weak, like how little the free welcome cases are usually worth. See our affiliate disclosure.
